The Moultrie Story
In the early 1980s, Dan Moultrie built his first automatic spin-cast feeder to prevent deer from simply passing through his property. The feeder worked so well that his friends asked Dan to make feeders for them, too. This led to the birth of a brand – Moultrie. What started as a solution to a problem quickly evolved into an innovative strategy to create the best scouting tools on the market. Moultrie went on to create the first-ever cellular trail camera under the brand Moultrie Mobile, which has since become one of the top-selling products of its kind.

Moultrie Mobile is committed to the communities we serve. For 12+ years, Dan Moultrie sat on the State of Alabama’s Department of Conservation Advisory Board, where he helped guide policy in conserving the state’s natural resources. In addition to conservation efforts, he has helped contribute and raise over 1 million dollars for organizations such as Hunters Helping the Hungry and The Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt. The Auburn University Wildlife and Forestry School has named the Dan Moultrie Fund for Excellence Scholarship in his honor.
